Through professional-grade instruction and high-repetition drills, we focus on defensive stick positioning, gap control, blueline work and the poise needed to transition the puck under pressure.

Daily Schedule
- Classroom Instruction: Tactical breakdowns and video review to understand defensive zone coverage, breakout options, and high-level positioning.
- Off-Ice Training: Dry-land drills focused on lateral explosive power, core stability, and fast-twitch footwork essential for defensive transitions.
- On-Ice Session: High-intensity situational drills and positional gameplay. Drills and progressions will be adjusted according to age and skill level to ensure optimal development for every participant.
Key Teaching Concepts
- Gap Control & Angling: Learning how to take away time and space, utilizing proper skating posture and stick positioning to force attackers to the perimeter.
- Elite Skating & Transitions: Mastering the technical footwork required for smooth pivots, lateral escapes, and backward-to-forward transitions to maintain defensive priority.
- Net-Front Presence & Containment: Developing the strength and body positioning needed to win puck battles, clear the crease, and tie up opponents effectively.
- Puck Distribution & Breakouts: Training the poise to handle high-pressure forechecks, executing "first-pass" accuracy, and finding creative lanes to jump-start the offense.
- Active Stick & Shot Blocking: Mastering the "interception" mentality—using stick-on-puck techniques to disrupt passing lanes and safe shot-blocking mechanics.
